I must admit that I am the biggest skeptic you may ever meet. Dr. Ken spent well over an hour answering my interrogative questions regarding chiropractic services. He was extremely patient with me and considered my skepticism to be a challenge. If I can be convinced, anyone can be convinced. He convinced me.
I first came to Dr. Ken because I was beginning to have some symptoms of Parkinson's disease, which is very predominant in my family. I have a "stress point" in my left shoulder blade area which has caused severe pain occasionally through out the past ten years. I have been to physical therapists and massage therapists who have alleviated the pain temporarily, but it always returned. Within the past year, the pain has shot down my left arm and into my left hand. I have occasional numbness in the arm and hand, and a slight tremor in the left thumb and fore finger. The numbness and tremor became more frequent (and are symptoms of Parkinson's). I was experiencing the symptoms about once a month, then about once a week, and, recently, about every other day. All symptoms and pains have now practically subsided, after Dr. Ken's adjustments. I have experienced numbness only twice since I started seeing Dr. Ken about 7 weeks ago. The tremor has only returned once, and as soon as I was adjusted, it subsided.
I visited the neurologist this week and he confirmed that I do not have Parkinson's. He stated that the symptoms I have been experiencing are probably due to the "stress point" in my shoulder and his recommendation was that I continue seeing Dr. Ken for treatments (as well as proper exercise, diet, and adding a multi-vitamin to my daily regimen).
Thank you, Dr. Ken

My son Tyler who is now 2 1/2 years old, had his first day on the road to good health without medication in Nov., 1998. I took him for his first visit to Discover Specific Chiropractic, better known as Dr. Ken and Dr. Amy. When Tyler was 4 months old the medication started. He had ear infection after ear infection. He was on many different kinds of medication. I was in and out of the doctors' offices at least twice a month or calling them on the phone for more medication.
In February 1998 we went to the ENT doctor and had a hearing test done. There was a slight loss of hearing so we had tubes put in. Things were fine until April/May I noticed his speech and hearing diminishing so I took him back to the doctor. More visits, more medications, and another operation. Again things were fine, until September or October. His speech and hearing were not the same, so you guessed it more doctor visits and more medication. I was even referred to an al1ergist to have Tyler tested for allergies. I didn't like the idea of my child, who wasn't even 2 years old, having to go through the testing for allergies and then just more medication.
I was talking with a good friend of mine, Judy M., and she told me about Dr. Ken and Dr. Amy. I had been to a Chiropractor and knew what they did for backs, necks and all that, but I didn't know they adjusted children. When Judy saw I was at my wit's end, she called and talked with Dr. Ken on my behalf. She told me she had called and I needed to call and discuss Tyler's situation with him. I called and spoke to Dr. Ken and we talked about the technique they used, concentrating on the neck making sure it was in line. So I thought about it, no medication-a healthy natural remedy, what the heck, so I took Tyler. This was in Nov 1998.
As of today, Tyler has been to the doctor once. I have taken him off all his medications and I didn't take him for the allergy test. He can hear everything and I mean everything. His speech has improved 100 fold. I have had people tell me they could not believe the difference in Tyler from a year ago. His attitude, speech, and his comprehension is just amazing. I owe it all to Dr. Ken, Dr Amy and Judy too, for believing in what they do in the way of doctoring. This is pure natural medication, one I DON'T mind giving to my child. It makes me feel good when I have Tyler in the car with me on our way home at the end of the day and he looks at me and says, “I want to go see Miss Amy”. With all he has been through in his 2 1/2 years of life, a doctor is the last thing I would expect him to want to go see.
Again my husband, Leonard and myself would like to say THANKS for all you have done for our son Tyler. Tyler says THANK YOU too!
