Discover Specific
Treatment Methods

Our adjustments are based on patients’ specific needs and are in response to the patient’s activities and goals.

The Discover Specific method of adjustments administered by our doctors is a very comfortable and pleasant, non-forceful procedure. There is no twisting of the neck or back and no popping sounds. In fact, the advantage of our method is that it actually reduces the amount of trauma to the patient.

After the adjustment the patient is given the opportunity to rest in one of our resting rooms in a horizontal position to ensure a smooth transition back to regular activities. Soft lighting and relaxing music rounds out this pleasant experience.

We Evaluate and Educate

Discover Specific Chiropractic is the only treatment center in the Low Country using the Tytron Computer infrared scanner. The Tytron scanner enables both you and the doctor to immediately identify areas of stress. The doctor uses the handheld scanner to gently glide down your spine while you are sitting and looking at the computer screen. The result of the scan immediately appears on the screen and presents you with a visual picture of the areas out of alignment.

A thorough evaluation will be given which may include digital x-rays to determine the best diagnosis and the most appropriate treatment. The doctors will share the findings with you, and may also prescribe positive exercises for healing and injury prevention.

Get back into the game

VibraCussor delivers waves of percussive impulses deep into body tissues. The repetitive pumping action is ideal for releasing fascial restrictions, treating trigger points, relaxing muscles, and releasing joints.

Instead of the traditional thrust by hand, this handheld instrument introduces the precise, gentle energy needed for optimum correction. Patients appreciate that we can avoid the twisting, turning or cracking of joints.
